Major Responsibilities :
Project Development Serve as a lead technical resource for piping systems and stationary equipmentLead efforts to ensure project practices and documentation deliverables follow applicable regulations and standards.
Personally review construction documentation prepared by outside engineering firms and vendors for compliance with project specifications, constructability, and operability.
Ability to independently make well informed decisions to achieve a high-quality product.
Review project plans and specifications to ensure an appropriate amount of surveillance for monitoring of engineering, fabrication, and construction activitiesReview current relevant codes and standards to identify mandatory modifications to former project standards for compliance while minimizing changes to reference plant in DonaldsonvilleContinuously control changes to original design and obtain management approval for any deviations.
Ensure third party engineering contractors work is compliant with code, will function correctly and reliably, meets CF internal expectations, and is properly documentedProvide detailed engineering support and monitor/expedite assigned jobs through the project controls process to ensure timely executionMaintain open and ongoing communication with supervision and Engineering on status and progress of work on assigned projects.
Oversee project construction activities to ensure work meets engineering specifications and relevant codes and standardsTravel globally as required to support project engineering, detailed design, and execution, including fixed equipment fabrication surveillance, monitoring, and inspectionMaintain a professional working relationship with all departmentsOperation Establish a formal mechanical integrity program for the new facilityAbility to define the detailed project scope needed for execution of capital projectsEHS Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, LOPAs, model reviews, and other analysis as requestedActively practice environmental, health, and safety activities associated with individualized job functionsSupport the corporate EHS Policy and Programs by incorporating the applicable requirements into designs and continually evaluate ways to improve site safetyParticipate in EHS risk assessment for the project Supervisory Relationships:

Education:
BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experienceYears of
Experience:
5
years in some combination of operations or engineering at CF, a comparable chemical manufacturing company or an appropriate engineering and technology services provider.
Experience with mechanical integrity, fixed equipment fabrication, and inspection.
Solid working knowledge of US piping systems design and maintenance, pressure vessel specifications and maintenance, inspection techniques, and manpower coordination.
Knowledge of industrial codes and standards (API, ASME, ANSI, OSHA, State)Familiarity with source inspection and quality surveillance using API 588 guidelinesAbility and willingness to collect field data, enter process equipment for inspections, and otherwise work in an operating chemical facility environmentAbility and willingness to work alternative shifts/schedules to support 24 hour/7 days per week operations during process unit erection, commissioning, startups, shutdowns, upsets, equipment inspections, and turnarounds.
Willingness to relocate nearby the project site and travel globally as neededMust be able to acquire Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC)Ability to prove drug and alcohol free at random or for causeWhat We Offer:
