As a manager, you will lead the planning and managing of all phases of client engagements for financial statement audit, reviews, and compilations. You will also supervise seniors, staff & interns and provide leadership to the assurance team.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of experience as an audit & assurance senior, or its equivalent, in a public accounting firm is required. A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, and a CPA certification, is also required. Grow With Us! As an Assurance Manager, you will work as a leader on a team to provide quality client service with the following responsibilities and requirements, including but not limited to:
Serve the needs of our clients by planning, performing, and overseeing financial audits, reviews, and compilations. Active participation on engagements with the ability to manage and oversee field work on assigned engagements in an organized and efficient manner such as:
oversight and review of engagement scheduling, engagement planning, managing internal and external deadlines appropriately, budget monitoring, timely review of work papers, completion and testing of more complex audit areas based on team structure, identifying issues and proposing appropriate solutions, perform research on technical issues, maintain the ability to apply GAAP and GAAS consistently, perform self-review of work product, understand and manage firm risk, finalizing client documents and reports, timely closing of engagement binder, and timely completion of staff evaluations. Coordinate all phases of the engagement, including communications with the client, team scheduling, and assignments. Assisting with the internal and on-the-job training and mentorship of staff members with enthusiasm and professionalism. Have the capability to professionally and appropriately communicate with a diverse group of individuals and promptly communicate any significant findings or questions that involve accounting principles or financial statement presentation to the Manager/Director. Ability to make professional decisions related to engagements including the assessment of engagement risks, determining which procedures to perform to arrive at a desired level of assurance, and evaluating supporting evidence with professional skepticism. Highly organized and capable of performing multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Computer proficient with the capability of performing at an intermediate or advanced level with respect to the Microsoft Office Suite of products or similar software applications. Have appropriate technical knowledge, leadership and critical thinking skills, a desire to learn, and self-disciplined. You must be able to drive/commute to client locations. Extended hours may be required during busy season, or as needed for client deadlines. Exhibit the technical knowledge and ability to direct field work on assigned engagements from engagement planning to completion, including assuming responsibility for timely and accurate status reports, maintaining budgets and timelines, completion of staff work paper review and self-review, engagement follow-up of open items, and monitoring of the completion of assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
