Summary:
The Food Service Worker provides assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed in accordance with the policies of the Dietary Department.
The food service worker utilizes supplies efficiently and effectively in the performance of specific job duties and functions as an effective team member within the facility.

Must be able to see/hear to answer phone and read recipes Must be able to walk, reach, bend, push, pull, lift 20-30 pound pots and pans, and protect oneself and/or others from physical injury Must be able to work effectively in stressful situations Exposure to cleaning chemicals Must be able to practice universal precautions JOB DUTIES:
The Food Service Worker Prepares meals accurately in accordance to prescribed diets and patient preferences Exercises proper sanitation procedures for equipment used in the preparation of food Prepares food efficiently and economically Maintains a clean and safe work environment Understands the responsibility regarding food preparation and sanitary procedures Assists in maintaining supplies and equipment Interacts with all hospital departments and staff, patients, and visitors Adheres to all hospital policies and procedures.
