Education:
Culinary Degree with Food Science background, BA or BS a plus
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of related Product Development experience.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage assigned budgets and personnel.
Experience developing products for chain account restaurants.
Retail Product development experience is an added plus.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Manage several projects with strong ability to multi-task and change priorities.
Make presentations and product demonstrations to key customers and the company sales organization.
Conduct initial project assessments to identify the nature of any technical, regulatory, or safety challenges and ensures that appropriate resources are committed.
Ability to create detailed product concepts incorporating compelling points of differentiation from competitors.
Knowledge of production and process management.
Menu development, ideation and creation of gold standards, development of RTU and concentrated soups and sauces.
Second sourcing, line extension and cost savings projects are also a priority.
Position will provide various forms of knowledge in culinary and food science support within the team, company, and customer base.
Must be able to work independently from benchtop to full production.
