Job Summary:

The Rotating Equipment Reliability Supervisor is responsible for Quality Assurance / Quality Control of rotating equipment efforts at the Donaldsonville Nitrogen Complex, which includes all machinery in the Product Producing Units (i.e., Ammonia, Urea, Nitric Acid and Urea Ammonium Nitrate), Storage and Loading, and the Off-sites Facilities. The position is responsible for developing and managing the rotating equipment reliability programs and supervising the rotating equipment contract quality control effort (nested contractor and third party employees). This position will assist management with improving safety, establishing and maintaining maintenance best practices, improving the reliability and availability of critical equipment and controls, developing and improving the preventive/predictive maintenance programs, and establishing guidelines for technical training.
The Supervisor will uphold CFI?s High Safety Performance while maintaining High Craft Quality Performance and Productivity.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage a Rotating Equipment Quality Control group consisting of 4 contract employees and a 3rd party QA/QC effort.

  • Provide technical guidance for CF and contract Millwright Technicians.

  • Manage the facility?s Machinery Preventative Maintenance in accordance with its Mechanical Integrity Program by ensuring equipment is inspected and tested according to program criteria and documentation is generated timely and available for future use.??

  • Conduct equipment repair facility evaluation to assure their ability to execute equipment repairs in the areas of quality, productivity and cost.

  • Provide assistance in managing the facility?s Millwright Technician Progression Program and ensure the continuous development of personnel.

  • Manage personnel to assure talent is utilized to maximize individual employee ability.

  • Manage personnel in an effort to develop and expand employee skillsets for potential promotion opportunities.

  • Manage personnel in an effort to establish high expectations of Safety, Quality and Productivity.

  • Provide operations, the capital projects group, and management with technical guidance concerning rotating equipment systems.

  • Maintain current records and reports as needed.

  • Ensure work schedules and work activities are met for department.

  • Provide on the job training for staff as appropriate to maintain qualifications and certifications.

  • Regularly communicate with supervisor work progress, concerns and questions.

  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Internal Controls:

Understands and complies with established departmental processes and procedures designed to support internal controls efforts.? Identifies and brings to the attention of department management internal controls deficiencies.

Successful incumbents will have:

  • Minimum 15 years of rotating equipment maintenance experience.

  • In depth knowledge of rotating equipment codes such as but not limited to API 610, 611, 612, 617, 670, 671, and 686.

  • Strong communication, technical, and decision making skills.

  • Capable of acquiring, maintaining and possessing a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

  • Demonstrated ability to get things done through available onsite and offsite resources is essential.

  • Ability to adjust schedule to meet business needs.

  • Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

  • Avantis system is preferred.

  • Must be able to prove drug and alcohol free at random or for cause.
